Il y a notamment eu une remise \u00e0 niveau des rails et de la gare ferroviaire de Thi\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"texte textearticle\">Selon le ministre du D\u00e9veloppement des chemins de fer, Papa Amadou Ndiaye, le service concerne pour un d\u00e9but le transport de passagers, le fret \u00e9tant pr\u00e9vu pour plus tard. Les liaisons seront assur\u00e9es par deux trains d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 totale de 500 places. <em>\u00ab\u00a0D\u00e9sormais, il faudra juste moins de 2 heures pour partir du c\u0153ur de ville de Thi\u00e8s et arriver au centre-ville de Dakar, \u00e0 raison de 5 allers, 5 retours<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 Oumar Amadou Sow, DG de Grands trains du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal (GTS S.A).<\/p>\n<p class=\"texte textearticle\">Ce tron\u00e7on est une section du corridor Dakar-Tamba qui comprend 8 lignes totalisant environ 2\u00a0000 km. Une r\u00e9habilitation provisoire a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e en f\u00e9vrier 2023, en attendant la reconstruction du r\u00e9seau qui date de l\u2019\u00e9poque coloniale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"texte textearticle\">D\u2019apr\u00e8s le gouvernement, la modernisation des axes critiques du r\u00e9seau national conform\u00e9ment au projet \u00ab\u00a0Dakar-Tamba fast track\u00a0\u00bb devrait n\u00e9cessiter plus de 2,9 milliards d\u2019euros (plus de 1\u00a0915 milliards FCFA), un investissement pour lequel il sollicite des bailleurs.
